Real Madrid And Inter Reach Agreement Over Maicon - Report

Brazilian full-back Maicon looks set to finally join former boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid, as La Gazzetta dello Sport and other Italian sources report Inter have accepted an offer from the Spaniards. Corriere della Sera have also reported that a €28 million fee plus undefined bonuses has been agreed between the two clubs and just this morning a fee has also been reportedly agreed for Mario Balotelli's move to Manchester City.

Now Maicon himself must agree personal terms with los Blancos, which should be concluded in the next 48 hours. Maicon wants a four-year deal earning €6-7m a year, while Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly offered €5.5m but an agreement should be reached soon. The move should pave the way for Inter to start dipping into the transfer fund for new manager Rafa Benitez's wish list, believed to include wantaway Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.
