Real Madrid expect to complete the signing of Sami Khedira this week.
The German international has just twelve months left of his contract at Stuttgart, who are prepared to sell him now rather than lose him for nothing next summer.
Chelsea and Manchester United have both been linked with the midfield player, but Real are in pole position and should complete the €10million signing within days.
Indeed, AS claim Khedira, 23, is so keen to make the move to the Bernabeu, he has offered to lower his wage demands to accelerate the transfer.
