Luciano Moggi feels Inter will lose out by selling Mario Balotteli to Manchester City despite the Italian club set to make a reported £25 million from the deal.
The former Juventus transfer director believes the Nerazzurri should be keeping hold of the Italian striker given his potential.
Negotiations between Inter, City and Balotelli appear to be ongoing after the player's agent Mino Raiola claimed on Monday that no contracts have been signed, and that he did not expect progressive developments for at least two days.
However, with the hitman on the verge of moving to England, Moggi has questioned Inter's position in the transfer.
"Balotelli? He is an up and coming youngster, I would not have sold him even though I am sure he will end up with Manchester City," Moggi told Radio Kiss Kiss.
"If I was Inter's directors I would have sold [Diego] Milito instead."
